Spring

Dear Parents,
This week we started learning about Spring! Even though the weather outside has been rainy and cloudy, it is Spring in the Toddler class. The classroom is transforming into a beautiful Spring scene with flowers, grass and trees all over our walls. We learned that in Spring time the rain stops, the sun comes out, and trees and flowers start to blossom. We learned that caterpillars turn into butterflies. We created a beautiful bulletin board, we made hand print flowers, decorated the word "Spring", and painted plates to become a big caterpillar, with our black hand prints as the feet! Next week we will send home beautiful Spring scenes that we have created. This week, we used flowers to stamp green paint onto our papers (this will be the grass for our Spring scene projects), and we also glued soil on the bottom of our papers. We used straws to blow blue paint over the top of our project to be the sky, it is looking so pretty! We used all of our strength to squeeze paint from the paint bottles onto butterflies. we folded them in half, mushed the paint, opened it back open and saw that the paint spread and made our butterflies so colorful and beautiful!
Have a great weekend!
 Shabbat Shalom!
