Rosh Hashanah

Dear Parents,
Another great week has passed in the Toddler class. We are all getting comfortable in the school setting, and having so much fun playing with our new friends and Morahs! This week, along with getting used to the routine of the classroom, we have been enjoying playing outside, dancing with our Morahs and our friends during Music and Movement, and singing at our Circle Time!
We also began to learn about and explore the holiday of Rosh Hashanah. We learned that on Rosh Hashanah we dip apples into honey for a sweet new year. We decorated a honey jar with yellow cellophane, an apple with tissue paper, and a shofar with brown paint for our bulletin board. We experienced Rosh Hashanah with some apple exploration.  Morah filled a sensory bin with oats and apples. We loved feeling the oats between our fingers and pouring it onto the apples. It felt so good! We used apples and red paint to stamp and make really pretty Shanah Tova (Happy New Year) cards. Our classroom is really starting to look and feel like Rosh Hashanah!
We are so excited to see what next week will bring!

*Welcome to our new friend Isaac who joined the Toddler class this week!
*See you all on Sunday at 4:00pm at the "Getting to know you" event at Prospect Park!

Shabbat Shalom!
