B"H
Dear Parents,
We had another amazing week in the toddler class! We continued our unit on healthy foods and habits. First we learned that vegetables grow from the ground, and we actually pulled out carrots and cucumbers from the soil. Everyone felt them, smelled their freshness, and tasted the cucumber. Next, we went shopping to buy all the healthy foods that we learned about. Morah explained that healthy foods make us strong. Milk is healthy and gives us strong bones too. However, some foods, such as candy, are not healthy for us. We did vegetable stamping with carrots and cucumbers, and glued vegetable pictures onto our place mats. Finally, we discussed that caring for our bodies and teeth are part of being healthy. All of us have to wash our hair, face and body, and brush our teeth. We washed our baby doll with soap and water, and sponge painted our bags that will have our projects to take home. We created a face and glued hair on the head too. Then we glued teeth (wheel pasta) onto a mouth and hung it on our bulletin board near an enlarged decorated toothbrush.
Thank you to our Shabbat Abba, Quentin Gordon.
Have a wonderful vacation, and we look forward to seeing everyone again!
Shabbat Shalom!
