Winter

*Reminder: The weather is getting really cold, please send your children in appropriate winter gear so we can play outside!

Dear Parents,
It was so nice seeing all of the Toddler friends after such a long break! We got right back into routine. What a great week it was discovering and exploring Winter! We decorated our classroom to look like a winter wonderland, and had so much fun doing it! We mixed shaving cream and glue to paint our snowman, it looked like real snow and felt so fluffy. Painting over tape, in the shape of  a snowflake, and then peeling the tape off,  we created our  beautiful snowflakes which we hung on our bulletin. Stamping toilet paper rolls (dipped in paint) in the shape of snowflakes also was also so much fun to make, and what a beautiful snowflake designs we created. A really special winter picture is going home next week- created by dipping q-tips into white paint , we can't wait to show you.
Using our Math Skills- we did some mitten color matching, we're so good at it!
In discussion time , we learned  that  just like polar bears have fur to keep them warm, we have warm winter coats and hats that do the same for us!  We also learned that there are things that we can do during the winter time like skiing and ice skating. We put bags over our shoes so we won't get our shoes dirty, and we got to skate through shaving cream which was so slippery like ice, it was so fun!
We are so excited to continue learning about Winter next week.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Shabbat Shalom!
